Recently refurbished, Casale I Melograni is a spacious private villa in a stunningly scenic setting within very easy reach of a selection of central Italy's loveliest hill towns.
With comfortably furnished terraces forming al fresco sitting and dining rooms, and interiors with décor and fabrics in soft tones, Casale I Melograni is set in a scenic setting surrounded by olive and vineyards near Baschi in Umbria. The strategic location of the villa is perfect for discovering the artistic and natural beauty of Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio.
The villa’s ground floor has a new stylish kitchen with modern appliances, and a large and lovely living room, from which doors lead out to the covered terraces and the gardens. Upstairs there are three bedrooms – the master double bedroom with super king size bed, shower room en suite and private balcony and two twin bedrooms sharing a family bathroom. With thick walls, the villa is naturally cool but each of the three bedrooms (with new box spring beds) has air – conditioning and all windows have mosquito nets. The villa is equipped with modern facilities including a 41” Sony Smart TV with Chromecast and Netflix. Table tennis, badminton and board games provide competitive entertainment; pre-bookable cook service could encourage effortless idling. The villa sits in grounds of 4,100 square meters encompassing a flat garden, an orchard, a meadow with olive trees. The private pool is set in gardens above the villa with wonderful views over the valley with the Lake d'Alviano (a noted WWF reserve) and Monte Cimino clearly visible. The pool has been newly refurbished. The ladder steps have been replaced with built-in steps with new paving around the pool and there are 6 sunbeds and umbrellas.
The villa is set between the medieval villages of Baschi and Montecchio. Baschi has all local amenities including supermarket, further food shops and chemist and restaurants and a weekly market. Further shopping, large supermarket and fast train service to Florence and Rome can be found at Orvieto Scalo. Some of central Italy’s most picturesque hill towns, Orvieto, Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, Montefalco are within very easy reach and the lakes of Trasimeno and Bolsena are within easy driving distance. Other noted centres of Tuscany including Pienza and Montalcino, but also Montepulciano, Arezzo, Cortona and Siena are also within reach.

The pool is set behind the house, approximately 25 to 30 meters walking distance from the main house. There are shallow steps from the gardens surrounding the house up to the pool on the upper level. These steps are filled with gravel and only one beam high per step. The swimming pool is approximately 5.5 metres higher then the ground floor of the house.
No pets allowed.
