Surrounded by a large garden with stunning views of the Atlas mountains, Dar Akhdar is an authentic and elegant Moroccan retreat with a heated pool and full set of staff.
Dar Akhdar is a large and luxurious villa, built in a unique Moorish style yet benefiting from excellent modern amenities. The property is situated in the Ourika Valley, just twenty minutes from the Grand Place, surrounded by a large, lush garden with breathtaking mountain views. Despite being so close to Marrakech, the beautiful green valley is excellently preserved. The entrance to the house can be found through an idyllic Andalucian courtyard, filled with vibrant citrus trees and a refreshing fountain. The interiors are grand and spacious, impeccably laid out with Moroccan-inspired decor. The villa boasts seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and ample living space, ideally designed for total comfort and luxury for groups of family and friends. The colourful bedrooms are either on the ground floor of the villa or in the Pavilion, which is a few steps away in the garden.
The villa's garden is abundant in sweet-smelling roses, bougainvillea and olive, pomegranate and banana trees. It is also home to exotic birds, butterflies, and Leila and Charlie - the tortoise couple who are drawn to this much-loved garden. The property is fully staffed and boasts a fantastic cook service for a truly luxurious Moroccan escape.
Prices are available for up to 10 people except for 21 - 28 October and 16 December - 05 January 2024. One bedroom will be closed.
Guests are looked after by the staff, and the villa is not available for self-catering. The kitchen is for staff use only but guests can store drinks, snacks and baby foods in the refrigerator. Special dietary requirements, food allergies, dislikes can be accommodated. Please advise on booking. Please see notes on cook service below.
Flexible departure day and duration: Minimum stay 7 nights during school periods and Christmas and New Year. 3 nights at all other times. Please ask for a quotation.
Please note that there is a tourist tax of 30 MAD per person per night payable locally on departure.
The pool and terraces at this villa are south facing.
Morocco is an enjoyable destination all-year round. It has a dry, continental climate which means hot summer days with cooler evenings and pleasantly mild winters.
