THREE DAYS OF MUSICAL AND CULINARY HIGHLIGHTS IN BELGIUM

As home to the national opera La Monnaie in Brussels and the Vlaamse Opera in Gent, Belgium has two houses at the forefront of the European music scene. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Idomeneo, re di Creta” offers you opera of the highest calibre; primadonna Edita Gruberova performing the title role in Vincenzo Bellini’s tragedy “Norma” promises to be a memorable experience, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin”, inspired by the writing of Aleksandr Pushkin, is sure to send every woman’s heart racing. Belgium also ranks among the best in Europe in culinary terms, too. Did you know, for example, that Parisian gourmets are fond of popping over to Brussels when they really want to experience sublime dining?
